Why subscribe?

Hopefully making your journey a little less random one decision or idea at a time. I’ll be sharing ideas gathered and lessons learned through a career doing and managing tech. With leadership roles ranging from companies such as Amazon and Facebook/Meta to midsize public ones to startups. I’ve made a lot of mistakes so hopefully you can make a few less. Or just laugh at some of mine.

There are a lot of great writers sharing important lessons on how to be more effective in your job, get hired in the first place, and have better work relationships. While I expect I may have some overlap my intent is to use the long form to go deeper in the how-to nature of some core best practices that will work in both big and little orgs. Also - mine will almost certainly have more movie references. ;-)

Over time I’m hoping to offer the subscribers the chance to pose their real world problems and discuss them monthly as community examples.
